Our Background

Fueled by quality craftsmanship and his dedication to detail, owner Mitch Rodriguez founded Riggs Construction in 2014. Having worked alongside his father as a child, Mitch has seen and worked in every phase of planning and construction. Mitch began his career by buying existing properties and completely renovating them, providing better quality to the future home owner.

A Comprehensive Approach

There isn’t an element of residential or commercial building and renovation that Mitch can’t do himself. With a comprehensive approach to project management, Mitch provides his clients with a wide range of services to cover their needs. Mitch strives for quality and and would never building anything that he himself wouldn’t live in.

Riggs Construction is a family owned construction company providing professional and reliable contracting services to the Tampa, Florida area. Mitch and his wife Lyndsey have been entrepreneurs since college and are dedicated to each other, their children, and their community.

Mitch RodriguezOwner/Contractor
Having worked alongside his father as a child, Mitch has seen and worked in every phase of planning and construction. Mitch earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Management while playing college baseball. The life lessons that baseball taught him—persistence, discipline, pursuit of perfection, humility, and honesty—are the foundation of his success and what has driven him, personally and professionally. Mitch is personally involved with each project, managing the details and offering solutions to problems. When Mitch isn’t working he is committed to spending time with his family, attending church, playing baseball, fishing and building the characters of four young boys.
Lyndsey RodriguezDesigner/Business
Lyndsey grew up loving to switch things up at any given time. It wasn’t uncommon for her to call her neighbor at 10 o’clock at night to come paint a bedroom or decorate. Now, Mitch gets the benefits of her late-night whims or projects. Lyndsey has been very successful in business, specifically in the automotive industry. Her hobby has always been decorating and designing in her spare time. Her passion is making spaces warm, inviting and functional. Functionality wasn’t always a priority, until she realized the need from having four boys. She helps Mitch put the final touches on his projects and manages the business.
AlishaLead Designer
Alisha’s mission is to create thoughtful, beautiful interiors that meet the clients’ aesthetic, functional, and economic goals while honoring and celebrating the homes that contain them. Her approach is flexible, caring and responsive. Some clients have a strong vision, where others are less certain and her goal is to guide them through the design process, helping them to formulate their own aesthetics along the way. Her experience benefits all types of projects from new builds to renovations, both residential and commercial. Alisha is a wife and a mother, gifted with a creative mind.
JimmyProject Manager
Jimmy is an experienced project manager, helping manage the projects at Riggs Construction Group from start to finish. He has managed multimillion-dollar commercial projects throughout his career. As an experienced construction manager, he is an expert in scheduling and procuring the required materials to complete a job of any size, from the routine addition to a complex renovation or a new construction. Jimmy enjoys the Florida Keys and spending time with his two daughters.
Cindi
Cindi and Mitch worked together at the beginning of their careers, flipping houses. At Riggs Construction Group, Cindi is responsible for finding properties, working alongside Mitch to manage client expectations, and negotiating with sub-contractors for the best possible price to deliver quality results to our clients. She also assists in managing the day-to-day activities of the business. Cindi is married with three boys and a lot of grandbabies.
JenniferAdministrative Manager
Jennifer works as an Administrative Manager for Riggs Construction. Jennifer is responsible for handling communications, marketing, scheduling and customer service. It is Jennifer’s goal to make the process as easy and flawless as possible for the client’s who choose Riggs Construction for their commercial or residential remodels. Jennifer is married with 5 kids and still enjoys her first profession as a NICU nurse helping save tiny, precious lives in the Lakeland area.

When the glass was getting installed for our shower, Mitch noticed a minor scratch and would not continue the installation and ordered a brand new piece.
